Of contracts, of pirates, and of Penzance
I went to a Sacramento performance of Pirates and Penzance tonight. It was good, but. Um.
I basically spent the entire time thinking about how Frederic's duty to perform (i.e., be a pirate apprentice) was discharged under the enforceability doctrines of 1) incompetency, 2) illegality, and 3) mutual mistake (ok, this is a mutual assent issue).
In conclusion, law school owns my life.
