Aaah! Back to school already? You'd think a three-week vacation would be more than sufficient, but it wasn't.

Here are the classes I'm taking.

ANT 123AN - Resistance and Rebellion

A class I was interested in taking for ages, but now that I've been in two classes, I wonder. It's chock full liberals who are idealistic to the point of foolishness, secure in the superiority of their moral high ground without thought to practicality.

But they can't be that idealistic - one of them has a bill on the floor of the house. o.O

We'll see.

SOC/IRE 104 = Migration

As with the other one, I'm taking this for my International Relations major - but it's just not a topic that interests me. I've already taken a class on Globalization, so I understand what's going on. Or at least, I think I do. It seems to be more of the same, but maybe reading all these books will come in handy someday.

WMS 20 = Gender

This class I'm taking for Arts Humanities credit. It's going to have too much writing for a lower division class, but hopefully it'll be easy, as I've taken Cultural Anthropology (which deals extensively with the subject), read books on the topic, and oh, btw, was in the GSA. But there's going to be a whole section on disabled people, which will be new, at least.

Classes with no set meeting times

LIN 112 = LIN 199 = Phonetics

As I wasn't here this fall, I missed taking this class, as Linguistics classes are only offered once a year. I need it to complete the major, though, so I'm taking it as an independent study course. Basically, I have the books and the assignments and we'll meet when necessary.

LIN 194H = Writing the Senior Thesis

I've got to get this done. Unfortunately, my adviser a) is vague on the requirements and b) doesn't seem interested in helping me. I'll muddle through, I suppose, even though so far all I have is that my thesis has something to do with Irish language reintroduction efforts in Ireland. Erk.

Even though my classes kind of freak me out, especially the unscheduleable ones, it sure makes for a purdy schedule.

P.S. I want my transcript yesterday. I have no idea how I did in fall, and I really, really want to know. Bah.
