first day of school

I woke up today at 8 am to attend a 9 am class, whereupon I was inflicted with an hour-long video on everyone's failure to stop the Rowandan genocide, resulting in the deaths of 800,000 people. This meant, effectively, tons of images of dead bodies and people dying by machetes.

Then I was told by the professor that he will not be adding additional students to the class. As I am waitlisted currently at #24, this means that there was no point in me going to class today.;

Then I broke my sandal with my bike. After the nearest bus stop to our house, I hobbled home.

And I have to go back in two hours.
